Making A Change

3 Jul

So for the few weeks that we’ve run this site we’ve let you guys send us formsprings and emails about who’d you like us to blog about, and we try and cover as much of the people/topics as we can, good or bad. But lately we’ve been thinking about our blog on Mitchel Reed, known on Twitter as @jmitchreed. Many people, upon seeing him at the MMVAs, sent us very passionate DMs, formspring “questions”, and emails about him, and how they think he’s using Justin and so on, and so we wrote about it, as asked.

We now realize though that yes, we are trying to be a gossip site and entertain you guys, and write about what you’re interesting in reading, but at the same time we don’t want to be defaming others in our name, because you guys feel that way, since we don’t always agree.

Mitchel is a really talented guy and we think he’s going to go far in life, as cheesy as that sounds, and we do feel remorse for making him sound like a horrible person just because some of you guys felt that way. We actually respect him and everything he’s done and hopes to do in the future, and you don’t ridicule people you respect, no matter how many people ask you. We realize that now, and that’s why we apologize for that.

We will still do juicy blogs on the facts we have and the stories we get, that’s definitely not going to stop, but we’re not going to be an outlet for just bitching about people, when we don’t even agree with everything we’re saying. There’s a difference in our blogs that tell stories that you’ve been dying to know and our blogs that just complain about people. The latter of the two is just unfair and uncalled for. We may be a little WordPress site right now, but we get thousands of hits a day, sometimes reaching upwards of 7,000 views in one day. Speaking badly about people is not only compromising the reliability and professionalism of our site, but that’s also compromising our character. Believe it or not, we are a lot nicer than we seem. We don’t want to just bash people, we want to run a cool gossip site. So we’ve decided to start a feature called “Word On The Street”, which will allow you guys to voice your opinion to us, but not through us. If you have any other suggestions on changes and improvements we can make to the site email us at! We’ll be happy to read what you have to say and respond. : )

More info on Word On The Street will be coming soon, as soon as we figure everything out. But until then, you should go follow Mitchel at @jmitchreed and follow the group he’s in that makes awesome videos, @therespectacle. They make some really cool stuff, and you can check it out for yourself at Thanks guys.

You ladies (and this site) are a real class act. Which isn’t something I would normally use to describe a gossip site. Please remember that because we, the readers, know close to nothing about you ladies, we must put a lot of blind trust in you as informants. You [the writer(s)] have a very elegant way with words and write very passionately, so it is easy to read everything posted on this site and believe it is a fact. I believed that you wouldn’t intentionally lie to us or abuse our trust, and this post confirmed that for me. Thanks for posting! 😀

Thank you so much. Comments like this make us remember why we take time out to update the site and post on our Twitter. We never want to just seem like we’re hating on people because people ask us to, because that’s not what a legitimate gossip site is. Thanks a ton for your encouragement, you’re awesome. 🙂 xo!
